Dr Lauren Gilkison BDSc.Hon.Qld (Dentist)
Lauren Gilkison BDSc(Hons) graduated from the University of Queensland in 2019 with Class I Honours, receiving the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence, as well as the Delta Sigma Delta John Sager Prize and the J. Owen Pearn Memorial Prize.
Lauren has worked privately, for Queensland Health, and for a not-for-profit organisation, treating patients from a diverse range of backgrounds for a variety of dental problems. She has a passion for promoting good oral health for both children and adults, and ensuring all patients receive quality and compassionate care. Lauren believes that good dental habits start from a young age, so loves to make children’s visits a fun, gentle and exciting experience. Her special talent is making balloon animals for her younger patients (or for those who are a child at heart).
A born and bred Queenslander, Lauren travelled from North Queensland to Brisbane as a child. She and her husband of 5 years, Kenneth, love to spend time with family, and share a passion for hiking, yoga, football and most importantly, coffee. They have two dogs (Frankie and Winnie) and have just welcomed their first human baby, their lovely daughter Grace.
